Sharon Wolpoff
Sharon Wolpoff completed her formal education at American University (B.A., M.F.A. and J.D.), with additional coursework in Italy and Mexico. Throughout her career Wolpoff’s work has been exhibited extensively, most recently at Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore and the American University Museum in Washington, DC. Counted amongst her honors are three Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Awards, an Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County Fellowship and a Kreeger Purchase Prize. Her prints are featured in “Singular & Serial”, Catherine Kernan’s new book celebrating monoprints and monotypes. On a lighthearted note, one of her paintings was in use on the set of the NBC series “Mad About You”. A Washington, DC native, her studio is located in Kensington, MD.
